RB McEntireVeteran Houston radio broadcaster, RB McEntire began his career in high school at KRBA Radio in Lufkin, Texas. That led to a radio opportunity in Beaumont. Nationally acclaimed radio program director, Bill Young brought McEntire to Houston's KILT in 1967. During a 43-career in radio news, RB earned virtually every award offered by United Press International, Associated Press, Houston and Galveston press organizations and merit honors from the Dallas Press Club. His commentaries of pride in America and Texas have been entered into the official record of the United States Congress. McEntire was named Houston Radio Anchor of the year by the Houston chapter of the American Women in Radio Television in 2001 and inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame during its charter year in 2002. While honored to be saluted by his peers, McEntire is most proud of his numerous commendations for public service.
