Florian Martin

NewsLab Coordinator/reporter

Florian Martin is the KUHF NewsLab Coordinator. While guiding and overseeing interns, he works on his own stories and is always on call to cover breaking news and other media events.

After earning his M.A. in journalism, American studies and Hispanic studies at the University of Leipzig in Germany, Florian immigrated to Houston in 2010 and started off his new life interning in the KUHF newsroom. After a 16-month stint as a reporter for Houston Community Newspapers, Florian was invited back to KUHF to take over the NewsLab Coordinator position.

Florian is often heard saying that he is living the American Dream. He lives in Clear Lake City with his beautiful wife Jessica and adorable son Jaiden.
