Edel Howlin

Reporter/Producer

Born in Ireland in a little village about 20 miles outside of Dublin called Clane, Edel studied to be a statistician but left the world of clinical trials to pursue her love of radio and hasn't looked back.

Edel has worked in radio since 2005. She started her career in Ireland on music radio as a producer and anchor, later switching to a newstalk station. Since her arrival in Houston she's worked as a midday jock on KHPT. Edel joined the KUHF newsroom in May 2011 as the NewsLab reporter.

Edel lives in the historic Houston Heights with her husband Nick, daughter Eloise and dog Kila.
