Evacuees in Dallas Waiting on FEMA
FEMA says the federal government will pay for a 30-day hotel stay for qualified evacuees who fled Hurricane Ike. But Dallas' emergency management director says evacuees at the city's convention center will have to stay there instead, because FEMA hasn't provided enough assistance. City Allocates $25 million for Debris Removal
Houston Councilmembers held a brief emergency meeting this week. They appropriated 25-million dollars for debris clean-up around the city. Laurie Johnson reports.

Communications Center Set-Up For Ike Victims
As the recovery from Ike begins, one of the big challenges is helping residents who have no way of getting the FEMA assistance process started. To address that, Congressman Nick Lampson has set-up a temporary communication center near Ellington Field. It's a place where displaced residents like Barbara Biggs of Galveston can start the recovery process.

Volunteers Aid National Guard At Points of Distribution
