The aim of Total Energy USA is to develop broad-based solutions to the world’s energy needs. Experts and industry leaders from the fossil, nuclear, and renewable fuel sectors all helped to put the conference together.

The show was originally scheduled to launch in mid-October. But despite the delay, organizers are upbeat.

“Everybody’s saying that this is the good first start that we were looking for.”

Greg Ortale is president and CEO of the Greater Houston Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.

“A big endorsement is that Shell has agreed, pending final contract, to be a three-year sponsor, and NRG has agreed to be a two-year sponsor.”

Ortale expects upwards of two thousand people to attend Total Energy USA, which runs Tuesday through Thursday at the GRB.
