Sara Khan is a native Houstonian and sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley. Double majoring in Media Studies and English, Sara hopes to go into print journalism and media and is a strong believer in the importance of public radio in providing the public with an impartial voice in news.

As a reporter for her university's paper, The Daily Californian, Sara covers campus- and city-wide news ranging from budget cuts and tuition increases to Occupy protests and riots.

Sara enjoys reading and riding her bike in her spare time.
