Company members treat us to a preview of Autumn Spectre, an evening of seasonal art songs and piano, harp and sitar pieces with film, Butoh-inspired dance, spoken text and shadow-puppetry... > click here to listen Maestro Louis Langrée, Music Director of New York’s Mostly Mozart Festival, conducts a quartet of vocal soloists and the Houston Symphony and Chorus in this weekend’s performances of Haydn’s Symphony Number 104, “The London” … and Beethoven’s “Choral” Symphony -- the Ninth -- with its concluding “Ode to Joy.” Concert times are tomorrow night and Saturday at 8:00PM and Sunday afternoon at 2:30PM in downtown Houston’s Jones Hall. Listen Download Divergence Vocal Theater presents Autumn Spectre, an ethereal evocation of the season, incorporating contemporary British and American art-song, instrumental miniatures, spoken text, Butoh-inspired dance, film and shadow-puppetry. There are two performances this Friday night and Saturday at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Singers from Divergence gather in KUHF's Geary Performance Studio for a preview session hosted by St. John Flynn.
