Choreographer, performer, writer and director, Joe Goode and his Performance Group present a suite of excerpts from their 1996 piece, Maverick Strain, and a brand-new work, Wonderboy, whose central character is portrayed by a puppet created by Basil Twist.  There’s one show only, tomorrow evening at 8:00PM in the Cullen Theater of the Wortham Center.  Mr. Goode talks about the evening with KUHF's Bob Stevenson. Frank London is the trumpet and keyboard-player and one of the five founding members of the New-York-based Klezmer band, The Klezmatics.  He speaks with KUHF's Bob Stevenson.  The Jewish Community Center of Houston brings its 2009 Jewish Music Festival to a high-energy close with a performance by the Klezmatics …part of the group’s twentieth-anniversary U-S tour, Noise Equals Life.  The concert is Sunday evening at 7:30PM at Congregation Beth Yeshurun. KUHF’s Meghan Hendley speaks with poet, Donna Garrett, and with choreographer-dancer, Sara Draper, the founder and Artistic Director of the contemporary dance company, Dancepatheatre.  Their collaborative program, Caution: Women at Work, is the center-piece of Dancepatheatre’s International Women’s Day Soirée, which also includes a wine reception, award presentation, dinner and a silent auction, and which takes place this Sunday, beginning at Seven-Thirty P-M, at the Barnevelder Movement/Arts Complex.
