Paul Pendergraft is KUHF-Houston Public Radio’s Senior Producer for News & Public Affairs. Paul came to KUHF in the spring of 1996 as a general assignments news reporter. In time Paul was promoted to Assistant News Director, News Director and then to his current position.

While at KUHF, Paul has been recognized by his peers and has earned many prestigious awards for news reporting and excellence in journalism. In 1998, Paul was the first KUHF News Reporter to be named the Press Club of Houston’s "Radio Journalist of the Year". A year later, his reporting skills gained KUHF its first regional Edward R. Murrow award for his extraordinary use of sound in telling a story. Paul has been recognized by the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters, The Press Club of Dallas, The Harris County Medical Society, The Texas Medical Society, The American Cancer Society, The Mental Health Association of Greater Houston and many other organizations for excellence in journalism.

Prior to working at KUHF-Houston Public Radio, Paul covered local news in Houston for Newsradio-740, KTRH.

In 2005, Paul marked his 20th year in broadcasting.

KUHF-Houston Public Radio (88.7-FM) is the Houston affiliate for National Public Radio (NPR), so Paul and his colleagues in the KUHF News Department are regular contributors to NPR News Programs regarding events or issues in Houston with a national or international interest. KUHF-Houston Public Radio also serves as a resource for the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) and the Voice of America (VOA), so Paul and the other KUHF News Reporters often broadcast news about Houston and Texas to listeners all across the globe.
