Opera star Frederica von Stade & composer Jake Heggie share insights about Mr. Heggie's world premiere, "Last Acts." Bob Stevenson shows us, with the artist on-hand, some of the digital panoramic photographs of Houston's Mexican American community by Chuy Benitez, on view through April 12 at Lawndale Art Center.  Mr. Benitez is one of the photographic artists whose work is on display as part of the 2008 Fotofest biennial.  Listen  Download

Brian Friel's drama, Translations, considered by many to be the Irish playwright's masterpiece, is the current production at Main Street Theater's Rice Village location through March 22.  St.John Flyyn explores the themes of language and love with lead actors, Carolyn Johnson (Marie) and Mark Adams (Hugh).  Hear how the actors perfected their Northern Irish accents, as well as the challenges of performing in such an intimate theater space, in the Extended Interview.  Listen  Download  **Extended Interview**

Former Houston Astros' pitcher-and-manager-turned-playwright-lyricist-songwriter, Larry Dierker, has combined his love of baseball and music into Old Stories, a Broadway-style musical about the pursuit of the pennant and a superstar right-fielder.  Mr. Dierker, composer & pianist Paul English & director Rob Kimbro share some of the tunes with Bob Stevenson.  Stages Repertory Theatre hosts two FREE staged readings of Old Stories:  Tonight & tomorrow evenings, 7:30pm.  Listen  Download
