We hear great music and conversation about the arts in Houston on the program today. We also say goodbye to Host and Executive Producer Dean Dalton. Dean officially retires today after almost 20 years as a familiar voice to Houston music and arts lovers. He reminisces about some of KUHF's achievements while he has been here and also introduces the person charged with replacing him . . .

We hear the prizewinning performances that took home the Second Place Honors for soprano Joelle Harvey at the recent Houston Grand Opera Elleanor McCollum Competition for Young Singers. She sings arias by HAndel and Massenet in concert at Houston Wortham Center.   Listen  Download

Dean Dalton has been the host of KUHF's The Front Row since the program's inception in January of 2004. He has also been associated with Houston Public Radio for most of the past 20 years. He retires, officially, today and offers some comments about his time and accomplishments with KUHF. He also introduces the man who will replace him as host of the show and as the stations Director of Cultural Programming.  Listen  Download
