The Front Row, 2/25/2008

We serve up folksongs and classical chamber music on today's cultural menu! Houston folksinger Bobby Bridger pays tribute to American frontiersman, Pony Express rider & showman "Buffalo Bill." And musicians from The Greenbriar Consortium perform a brand-new work by Cristian Macelaru and a relatively obscure treat by August Klughardt.

The Greenbriar Consortium presents Dynamic Duos & Terrific Trios, including works both new & old, on the Channing Concerts series at First Unitarian Universalist Church, tomorrow at 7:30pm.  In the studio to perform excerpts are distinguished Houston musicians Judy Dines (flute), Akiko Konishi (piano), Anne Leek (oboe), Cristian Macelaru (violin) & Dan Strba (viola).  Dean Dalton hosts.  Listen  Download
