50 Years of Vocational Training

The Center offers a variety of services to businesses such as assembly, packaging, mailing and furniture restoration. One of the 250 people employed in the program is Marshal Meade who takes part in landscaping services.

"Our ultimate goal is for our clients to have a job out in the community, so the vocational side of things is that type of training.What is expected in the workforce, the way we dress when we go to work the way we speak when we go to work so that provides them with those type of services. "
The anniversary comes in the same year that the Center reached a deal with the city of Houston so it could stay on the property on West Dallas. Capella Tucker, Houston Public Radio News.
