Marine Saluting GraveKUHF-Houston Public Radio presents a special Memorial Day program called "FOR THE FALLEN". The hour long program features voices of military veterans, their family members and loved ones remembering experiences and those who made the greatest sacrifice one can make for their country. You'll hear from veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, reading their emails, poems, and journals, as part of the National Endowment for the Arts (N.E.A.) project, "Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience." Also included in this special are personal reflections from a World War II soldier's "StoryCorps" interview and the "This I Believe" essay of a soldier's wife longing for her husband to call home.
