Nova Arts Project presents "The Joy Luck Club"
Nova Arts Project, Houston's newest professional theater company, offers a stage adaptation of Amy Tan's best-selling novel "The Joy Luck Club," which fuses theater with live music and dance . . . Also, the Houston Symphony and the art-song society, Col Canto, each present enticing and intriguing season finale concerts . . .

World-class pianist Jon Kimura Parker and Houston Symphony Music Director Hans Graf talked with Dean Dalton about the HSO's all-Gershwin program, which features Mr. Parker as the soloist in Gershwin's Piano Concerto . . . this Thursday & Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoon, at Jones Hall.  Listen  Download   

Dean also hosted a live performance by singers of Col Canto, previewing music from Let the Florid Music Praise! An Evening of British Art Song . . . tomorrow night's concert at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  In the studio were musicologist Nancy Gisbrecht Bailey, singers Tracy Rhodus, Nancy Markeloff, Jason Oby and Paul Busselberg, with pianists Julie Loeb Sacks Rodney Waters.  Listen  Download
