Investigators with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Department, the ATF and Texas Rangers have searched three homes in the Needville area as they look for leads in the fire. The blaze damaged several buildings and destroyed completed TAKS tests stored in an administrative office. This is Fort Bend County Fire Marshal V.T. Cooper.

"Some of the warrants were served on student and former students homes. Currently, we're evaluating the evidence that was collected through the search warrants and numerous leads were obtained. We're following-up on those leads and the investigation is still in progress."

Needville is in rural Fort Bend County and firefighters had a hard time finding water to battle the fire. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors will retake the TAKS test in May. There is a $5,000 Crime Stoppers reward for information leading to the arrests of whoever is responsible for the fire.
