Internet Plays Part in Homebuying Process

A survery commissioned by the Houston Association of Realtors shows half of Houston homebuyers and sellers use the internet in part of the process. Houston Public Radio's Ed Mayberry reports.

The survey was conducted by the University of Houston Center for Public Policy. The center's Richard Murray says use of the Internet will grow.

Most buyers use the Internet for information, and then contact a realtor. The survey indicates a high level of satisfaction with realtors.

The Houston Association of Realtor's Lorraine Abercrombie says this area's strong housing market contributes to consumer's high satisfaction level.

The survey indicates that sellers who use the Internet are much more likely to be satisfied with their realtor's performance. Ed Mayberry, Houston Public Radio News.
