Composer John Harbison
Pulitzer-prize winning composer John Harbison talked about his new Double Bass Concerto on today's program. . .

The Houston Symphony and it's Principle Bassist Timothy Pitts will give the American premiere of John Harbison's Concerto for Double Bass this weekend in Jones Hall. The composer talked about the work with TFR host Dean Dalton. More information is at http://www.houstonsymphony.org/.  Audio here. 

Dean also hosted a live studio session with Director Phillip Kloekner and musicans from the United Nations Association International Choir.
