Ken Lay Continues Answering Government Questions

Prosecutor John Hueston questioned whether Lay had repaid a $7.5 million loan from Enron. Lay responded that he has not because Hueston blocked the sale of some of his assets. When Hueston asked the question again, requesting a yes or no, Lay answered "no, because you blocked it."
The prosecutor noted that Lay tried to contact former Enron risk manager Vince Kaminski about nine days before Kaminski's testimony at this trial. Lay's attorney George Secrest told reporters that prosecutors have intimidated potential witnesses.
U.S. District Judge Sim Lake is starting trial earlier and taking less time for lunch in an effort to speed the progress of the trial.
