It's a party at I-Fest!
On the eve of the 2006 Houston International Festival Houston singer-sonwriter Jack Saunders stopped by the KUHF Performance Studio to give listeners just a taste of some of the music they'll hear this weekend. . .

Jack Saunders will tell his stories and sing his songs tomorow afternoon at 4:00 and again next Saturday at 5:30 at the Kerrville Folk Festival on the Road Stage at the Houston International Festival. More information is at http://www.ifest.org/.  Audio here.

Also opening this weekend is the 2006 edition of the Houston International Film Festival. It opens tonight in it's new home at the AMC Studio 30 Cinema on Dunvale with a screening of Paradise Texas. KUHF's Bob Stevenson talked with the film's producer Tom Estus, director Lorraine Senna and actor Timothy Bottoms. Finally, Alison Young sat dow for a conversation with children's writer Lois Lowry. She'll read from her new young people's novel, Gossamer, tomorrow morning at 11:00 in the Cullen Theatre of Houston's Wortham Center.
