Inspired by PBS’ The Electric Company, choreographer Jane Weiner’s newest modern dance piece, say please and thank you, is designed for children but with adults in mind! The show incorporates storytelling, featuring local poetry slam artist, Mahnoor Samana.  Catherine Lu chats with Jane, who talks about her “inner child,” and with Mahnoor, who performs an excerpt from the children’s story told in the dance.

Hope Stone Dance presents an evening of dance, featuring Artistic Director Jane Weiner’s new work, say please and thank you, along with a condensed version of her piece, squared dancer, on Friday, February 28, at 7:30pm at the Hobby Center’s Zilkha Hall. Tickets and more information are available at www.hopestoneinc.org and www.thehobbycenter.org.
