Harris County District Attorney Mike Anderson Dies

Mike Anderson and family the night he won the Harris County District Attorney's race.
Harris County District Attorney Mike Anderson has died after a battle with cancer.

The 57-year-old Anderson took office as District Attorney in January of this year after defeating incumbent Pat Lycos last May in the Republican primaries, and Democrat Lloyd Wayne Oliver in November.

He announced he had cancer in May.

Anderson was a former judge and prosecutor.
