Right in the heart of the chaos, Texas Task Force One is making its way through the city. The task force is an urban search and rescue team. LBJ Hospital's Emergency Room Director Dr. Richard Bradley is on the team and was able to get a cell phone signal to maintain contact with Houston. The team is operating under spartan living conditions.

Bradley says he has heard reports of the despair in New Orleans, but the team is staying focused on rescue operations.

Bradley says they are pulling out thousands of people each day and that's thousands of lives saved.
