Captain Ruy Lozano with the Houston Fire Department says nearly a dozen passengers were hurt before Compass Airlines 5762 landed.

"We had 11 people on flight 5762 claiming sickness — just generalized feeling sick. But they all came about after the plane had hit a pocket, an air pocket. At about 15:30, the entire, the plane had already landed, and two people were transported to a nearby hospital. All these claims were just generally feeling sick."

Captain Lozano says the extent of the injuries of those transported to a hospital is not known.
