The Houston Astros have reached an agreement to renew the team's partnership with CITGO for another three years.

Under the agreement, the Astros and CITGO will continue to work together on various community outreach programs in the Houston area. Past projects have included joint fundraising efforts on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The agreement also includes the relocation of the CITGO sign at Minute Maid Park, previously positioned above the train in left field. The newer, larger sign will be moved closer to center field.

CITGO is a subsidiary of PDVSA, the Venezuelan state oil company. It first partnered with the Astros in 2004, the year it moved its corporate headquarters to Houston. The new deal extends the partnership through the year 2015.
