If you're not registered to vote in the upcoming U.S. Senate runoff election, you have another week to file your application.

Harris County voters head to the polls July 31. By law, voters have to be registered at least 30 days before the election.

Fred King with the Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office says the last date you can register is July 2.

"You can pick up a registration application at any of the tax office branches, and we have 15 of them, at public libraries, at City of Houston community and health centers."

King says you can also download a form from the Tax Assessor-Collector's website. You can bring the form to their office, or mail it, as long as it's postmarked by the second.

Those forms will then go to Austin for approval. Once they're okayed voters will get a registration card in the mail in time for the election.
