"It's gonna be exciting with lots of people out here, watching what's going on, lots of activity. The restaurants will benefit, the entertainment will benefit, it's gonna be great."

Comcast SportsNet Houston will be one of nine regional networks operated by Comcast that will feature major league teams. Sports-Net Houston President and GM Matt Hutchings says its the growing trend for franchises to launch their own networks to get the biggest bang out of their investment buck.
"We will be creating all of our original programming here, in the studio, out at various events, not only, beyond our pro events. And so, we'll push it out, it'll be on satellite, it'll be on cable, it'll be everywhere for fans to be able to get. On top of that, we'll have the support from our NBC Sports Group, and the national support of getting access to all the important stories that are important to sports fans in this region."
Comcast SportsNet Houston will air Rockets games later this year and Astros games in 2013.
