A local Orthodox Jewish high school basketball team will get to play in the state tournament after-all.

A private school league says it will abide by a temporary restraining order and change its tournament schedule so Beren Academy won't have to play on the Jewish Sabbath.

The Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools had twice earlier voted to deny the schedule change request.

Parents of some of the players had filed a suit to allow the team to play.

TAPPS says even though it probably had legal grounds to challenge the temporary restraining order, that it didn't want to further disrupt the state tournament this weekend.

Beren Academy will likely play sometime tomorrow before sundown.
