Deputy Roxyann Allee had finished some shopping at Greenspoint Mall on September 30th,1991 when at least two men forced her into her own van and drove off. She was later found shot to death a few miles away. It's been twenty years, and still no arrests in the case. Detective Dean Holtke is with the Sheriff's Office Cold Case Unit.
"Several tips came initially and they were all followed-up. And over the years literally hundreds of leads have come in and have all been followed-up and as it stands today, the case remains unsolved. So what we're doing here today is asking for the public's help to bring us some more tips, more leads. We're still currently working on this case. We still get calls occasionally and we jump on them immediately."
Sheriff Adrian Garcia says he hopes a new 10-thousand dollar reward in the case will prompt someone who knows who killed
Deputy Allee to step forward.
"We have $10,000 on the table today thanks to the Greenspoint Management District and Houston Crimestoppers for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone who has information on the persons responsible for this case. We want to bring closure. Deputy Allee is family to us and we will not forget and we'll continue to work hard on this case."
The number to call if you have information about the case is 713-222-TIPS. All callers remain anonymous.
