Menil Collection art scholars-in-residence, Katrina Bartlett and Caitlin Haskell, introduce the topics that will be discussed by an international panel at a half-day symposium on French painter, Henri Rousseau. Was he a talented, skilled and influential pioneer who opened our eyes to a new way of looking at art and paved the way for at least four of the 20th Century's major art movements or a pleasant but untutored hack who created pretty but essentially meaningless pictures for the enjoyment of the masses?
KUHF's Bob Stevenson talks with them about the event which is this Saturday at the University of St. Thomas.
