A personality program used to help clients more effectively manage their employees will now be taught to consultants. Ed Mayberry reports.
Personalysis Corporation LogoThe Personalysis Corporation has been conducting personality assessments for 35 years, helping clients determine hires with tools that go beyond just resumes and references. But starting in October, classes will begin to help independent consultants utilize this tool — a Personalysis certification program, as the company's Deborah Dorsett explains.

"Personalysis is a personality assessment, and we are opening use of this tool to existing consultants. For years, we did the consulting with clients. In the past few years, we have opened a facilitator program to train facilitators within our existing client companies, and that has been so successful that we're now in a position that we can open this up and offer the use of our tool to consultants as a part of their consulting practice."

This proprietary management tool recognizes that personality as well as academic performance affects an individual's business success.

"Consultants can look at someone's personality profile and be able to talk knowledgeably about the strengths of that individual, what they expect of their leaders, what they need in new situations to learn, what they have to have in making decisions, and really, what they enjoy doing. When they are having great days at work, we can also describe that. In addition to a resume, in addition to references, it's another data point of looking at an individual."

The certification program is for those who coach people or teams, human resource specialists, executive coaches and sales development leaders.
