KUHF Conversations: HISD's Angela Miller

The final round of public comment gets underway Wednesday in the political and academic battle over new history and social studies standards for K-12 students in Texas Public Schools. Conservatives on the State Board of Education have presented, and will likely approve, hundreds of changes to the cirricula to balance out what they see as a liberal slant to the current standards. To get an idea of how these changes would affect teachers and students, KUHF's David Pitman got in touch with Angela Miller. She manages the social studies cirricula for secondary students in the Houston Independent School District.
