Spring Early Voting Starts Tomorrow

The stage is being set next month for the November general election as political parties select their candidates. Rod Rice reports that early voting for the March primary begins tomorrow.

In Harris County there will be 37 early voting locations.

"If you are a registered voter in Harris County you can go to any of the locations and receive the ballot that you're entitled to vote regardless of where you live in Harris County."

Kevin Mauzy is the Chief Deputy Harris County Clerk. He says early voting polls will be open from 8-4:30 through Friday.

"Saturday will be 7am to 7 pm, Sunday from 1-to-6 pm and 7am to 7pm all next week."

Any registered voter can vote in any party's primary you will make that declaration when you show up to vote. That will be different if there's a need for a run-off.

"In the April run-off, you'll need to vote in the same party's run-off, you can't switch parties and vote in a different party's run-off election in April."

Mauzy says there have been some early voting location changes in Harris County, so check for the location nearest you at www.harrisvotes.com.
