A&M Helicopter Crash

A second person has died of injuries he got in the crash of a Black Hawk helicopter on the Texas A&M campus earlier this week. Jim Bell reports.

42 year old Sgt. Charles Mitts of Spring was one of five soldiers on the ROTC UH-60 helicopter when it crashed during a routine training exercise Monday afternoon.  Sgt. Mitts died over night at Memorial-Hermann Hospital.

The crash also killed 22 year old 2nd Lieutenant Zachary Cook of Lufkin, a recent A&M cadet and graduate who had just received his commission.  Three others on the chopper are still in the hospital.

Army investigators are on the A&M campus looking for the cause of the crash.
