The Expo is a chance for networking, introducing new contacts and helping the visability of your business, according to organizer R.D. Yoder.

"We have a trade show environment with 100 participating companies.  We have a speaker line-up that includes Judge Ed Emmett, Senator Dan Patrick, Sheila Jackson Lee and also Harris County Sheriff-elect Adrian Garcia.  So we wanted our prople to have an opportunity to hear you know, first-hand what they expect for the year 2009 because this is uncertain times for a lot of us, but you know, what they can do is offer reassurance that you know the United States is still a great place to be, Houston is a great place to network and business will be fine if we all just get out and reach out to each other."

Yoder says over 100 companies are exhibiting at the Houston Business Expo, and several speakers are taking part.

"You know, what we're trying to encourage people to do is start or increase the people in their circle of influence.  The circle of influence are people that surround us on a daily basis, whether it be in a personal or in business endeavours.  But what we want to do is give people accessibility to one another, and this is what this trade show and expo does.  We focus on interpersonal relationships, therefore you can have people from all walks of life interacting with one another.  See, we're all connected in some form or fashion.  It's just a matter of tapping into the right person.  You know, redefine relationships in accordance to who we are."

The expo is being staged by the Houston Networking News, a business networking organization formed in 2003.
