KUHF Houston Public Radio and the Houston Symphony team up this month to bring listeners broadcasts of the Houston Symphony’s Pops Series concerts featuring Pink Martini’s unique blend of classical, jazz, and Latin music, romantic songs with Ann Hampton Callaway, and soulful sounds that take you back to the golden age of Motown. The series will air Saturday nights at 7pm.
Serving as a contributor to the quality of life for the Greater Houston area, KUHF has a long history of community involvement. One of the way in which the listener-supported station has built strong community relationships is with the city’s local arts organizations. This month’s new Symphony broadcasts are a perfect example of collaborations that connect public radio listeners with the local arts scene. "The Houston Symphony pops concerts combine a wide variety of popular music with extraordinary guest performers, high entertainment value and a dash of good natured humor. We’re thrilled to partner with KUHF to bring the fun of our pops concerts to an even wider audience" Principal Pops Conductor Michael Krajewski explained.
