Music From The Movies,
Friday July 11th at 7pm

TAKING A TRIP...Regina Scruggs is on aJourney to the Center of the Earth this week with two soundtracks! We'll hear music by Bernard Herrmann for the 1959 version of Jules Verne's famous tale. The remake, opening Friday July 11th, has The Mummy star Brendan Fraser really digging deep (review below)! The score is by Andrew Lockington. Jared's got Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, and Regina's grooving to Sean Connery with her continuing survey of all the James Bond films. Check out From Russia With Love!
TAKE NOTE.  Regina's taking a one-week break from the show, so there is no "Music From The Movies" on Friday, July 18th.  She'll be back on July 25th.

COMING SOON...The Dark Knight, another collaboration between Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard.  Regina has a crush on Christian Bale, the Bat-Man!  Plus rumor has it that Kevin Costner is coming to town to promote his new movie Swing Vote and we hope to have a chat with him!

THANKS TO DEBRA WINGER...and everyone who came to the Museum of Fine Arts event on June 12!   We had a great time, Debra was charming and personable, and signed tons of her book Undiscovered for happy fans!  It was fun to hear inside stories of her time filming Urban Cowboy here (back in 1979!).  We were the first stop on her nationwide book tour, and it was great to welcome her back to Houston.   An account of my experience with her is on the KUHF "The Front Row" blog.
